ABar Rooftop Bar is located on the 37th floor of the Bangkok Marriott Marquis Queen’s Park. In addition to the Asian-style restaurant from celebrity chef Akira Back, there are also two fine cocktail bars: ABar, in a classic lounge style bar with a certain Sherlock Holmes concept and ABar Rooftop. A cocktail bar on the roof that comes in a warm and cozy atmosphere, overlooking the city skyline of Bangkok.
When walking into the ABar, there is an atmosphere that is ready to take everyone back in time machine into the past with classic dark wood decoration. Get a vintage leather chair with a comfortable armrest, which combines the mystery and wonder of Victorian London with the pep of the 1930s american style. Cigars are also available for any young man who wants to smoke.
ABar’s cocktails are outstanding in the mixology of alcohol. Also known as Dark Spirits, including famous whiskeys from around the world, Rum and Cognac, along with other choices of alcoholics from the Prohibition era, vintage craft spirits and original creatives by Roj. Enjoy the drinks
ABar ‘s Dark Spirit Cocktails have a strong, intense touch with a cool, masculine look, divided into Libation and Connoisseur. For those who don’t like the middle flavor, not very intense, try Study in Stone (415 baht). Nusa Cana Rum, Dr Sherry, Citrus Oleo Sachrum and Fresh Lemon. But if you are a man who wants to taste the real liquor without mixing it, try The Oxford (435 baht), Martel VSOP, Carpano Classico and Scrappy’s Cardamom Bitters. With these choices you can sit and sip all night long.
Open Air & Rooftop
Moving up to the 38th floor you should discover the ABar Rooftop, an open-air and a cozy rooftop bar for girls who like to take pictures with beautiful views of the vanilla sky. And can also see the sunset over Benjasiri Park with various tall buildings in a nice panoramic view. This ABar Rooftop also includes 55 types of gin to be used as the main ingredient of many signature cocktails. Each drink is created by Sai Mai Nantharat, a former bartender of Peek a Boo, Hyde & Seek, Bunker Sathorn and barman of Highball Bangkok.
As for ABar Rooftop’s cocktails, in addition to every glass with Gin, you can also create your own cocktail. But if anyone who is new to learning to drink, the bar recommends Be Gin (375 baht). This is played with the word Begin, which means “Begin”. But changed to Be Gin to match the word Gin, including Beegeater 24 Gin, Luxardo Maraschino Liqueur, Lavender Syrup and Fresh Lemon Juice, before topped with a soft, easy-to-drink eggwhite.
But if you like a sweet, colorful cocktail, try Bitter Sweet Time (385 baht). Jasmine infused with Beefeater Gin followed by Lemon Syrup, Chardonnay, Fresh Lime Juice and Soda Splash. Very easy to drink and cannot stop ordering more.
The signature cocktail recommended by the bar is No. 3 (385 baht). Beefeater 24, Home Grown Rosemary, Dehydrated Grapefruit, Fever Tree Premium Indian Tonic, giving a light purple-blue color in the glass.
