Thachang Hill, Samoeng District, is an industrial loft style cafe made of clear glass, designed to look like a former barn. The atmosphere is cool, settled down in the mountains. There is a wooden terrace on the outside to sit and sip coffee while enjoying the beautiful view. In addition, during the cold season there is a bonfire to add warmth to have romantic and cozy feelings. It is also a preferred shop for cyclists and bikers and motorbikes because it’s location is perfect to pass by on a day trip and have a stop-over.
Location and Decoration
This relatively new cafe Thachang Hill is definitely worth a visit. It just opened in early 2016, on a famous tourist route in Ban Pong Subdistrict which leads towards Samoeng district or Mae Rim. The airy shop has an open room in front of the bar or in main season you can enter the air-conditioned room to escape the heat outside. As the shop is a high hall, the atmosphere is not uncomfortable at all. Instead, it’s giving you a feeling of openness and comfort. You can sit and watch the outside and totally forget the time. Especially when visiting the shop in winter season it’s very cool. The decoration uses many different styles of vintage lamps to add a classic touch to many different corners.
Thachang Hill Coffee Shop & Cafe is surrounded by nature and beautiful mountains. Apart from the outstanding and unique loft style decorations there are various angles to take pictures or selfies. Coffee, cakes and food is delicious and inexpensive.
